Senior Designer and Engineer


Morris Commercial Ltd,, is a UK-based automotive engineering and manufacturing start-up with innovation as its core value and a vision of creating desirable carbon neutral transport. Morris Commercial set to revive the historic British Icon Morris Commercial with state of art technology, zero emission, full battery electric and complete newly engineered vehicles and with timeless iconic original Morris Commercial design heritage and beautiful British craftsmanship. We are looking for dynamic and highly motivated designers and engineers of various disciplines with extensive  experience and proven track record to join the engineering team. The successful candidate must be passionate about cars with a strong belief in the future of the electric vehicles


Roles and Functions Available:


  • Vehicle packaging and integration engineer. Responsible for all vehicle packaging design including chassis, interior and exterior, occupancy, and other system packaging to fully packaged vehicle
  • Vehicle designer and surfacing engineer. Responsible for the creation and styling of the exterior and interior design changes and new parts integration. Design new variants and vehicle accessories. Create sketches and CAD surfaces and models as required.
  • Vehicle body and trim design engineer. Working within the engineering team with a focus in body details, trim components, and other vehicle components design.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Art and design/engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Extensive (10 years +) vehicle design engineering experience
  • Broad automotive engineering and manufacturing knowledge
  • Proficient in Catia V5/6, Catia 3D Experience and other relevant design software such as inventor, Alias, Adobe etc
  • Good knowledge and understanding and/or skill in FEA
  • Strong problem-solving skill and communication skills
  • Whole vehicle architecture and geometry knowledge to enable the development of a fully packaged vehicle. Experience in chassis, system, and occupancy packaging work (for packaging engineers)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in composite, light weight design for body and trim engineers
  • Knowledge and experience in EV is an advantage
  • Creative with up to date knowledge on industrial trends, technologies, materials, engineering methods and legislations.
